How to choose the right rail

1) Match your rifle & receiver

Select a rail made for your exact model (CZ 600, 457, 455/452, Brno Combo/ZKM). Older rifles often use receiver dovetails—choose a rail that clamps to the dovetail or screws to the receiver as specified by the maker.

2) Pick the cant (MOA)

• 0 MOA: general use / typical hunting distances.
• 20 MOA: adds elevation range for longer-distance zeroing.

3) Length & material

• Rail length: short/light for compact scopes; extended for flexible eye relief or clip-on devices.
• Material: 7075/6061 aluminum keeps weight down; steel maximizes stiffness and thread strength.

Installation basics

• Degrease rail, receiver threads, and screws; apply Loctite threadlocker.
• Torque to the manufacturer spec in a criss-cross pattern; witness-mark screws and recheck after your first range session.
• Confirm screw length and pitch for your receiver (no bolt or barrel interference).

Tip: After mounting the rail, choose rings or a one-piece mount that fits your scope’s tube diameter and objective size to achieve proper eye relief and bolt-handle clearance.
